Skeptics may say that time is ticking for 28 year-old Neal Wood, but he isnt listening. Neal is in his prime and proves it at each race with amazing starts, incredible track speed, and a fearless riding style thats unmatched by the competition. As DK/1-800-COLLECTs top pro racer, Neal secured his National #5 ranking for the second year in a row.

Neal is a collector of motorcycles, tattoos, rock-a-billy records, and pro BMX titles. He recently scored the biggest on track title of his career--1999 Huffy Road to Glory Pro Champion. "I didnt want to get down off the podium," says Neal. The Road to Glory is made up of the five biggest BMX races on ESPN. He won a Kawasaki KX250 for his efforts.
Even larger than Neals on track antics is his huge following of fans. These fans proved that Neal is the peoples choice as he was awarded the 2000 NORA Cup. NORA stands for Number One Rider Award and its the biggest off track honor in BMX. The readers of Snap BMX Magazine cast their vote and choose who they feel is number one. Not surprisingly they chose Neal. |

DK/1-800-COLLECT pro, Robbie Miranda has a bright future in bicycle motocross racing. At 22 hes one of the sports young guns who has the ability to tame the toughest tracks and win from behind. Of course Robbie does get good starts too. He proved this point by winning the 1999 ABA Race of Champions main event from start to finish.

Robbie has made a lot of changes this year including a temporary home in Huntington Beach, California. He made the move in order to train with Neal and other racers in the pro class. "Its paying off," says Robbie. Hes gained a tremendous amount of speed down the first straight and has been known to win laps from start to finish. Living in Southern California also allows him to ride a lot of motocross. Motorcycles are a great way for Robbie to keep his mind off BMX.
Some feared Y2K, but Robbie started the 2000 season in style. He celebrated by winning AA Pro at the NBLs 2000 season opener called the Christmas Classic. He has his sights set on a single digit ranking and plans to lead more laps than ever before. If you know Robbie there should be no doubt that hell make it happen.
Congratulations to Robbie on the NBL Christmas Classic!

Nathan Fons is 1-800-COLLECTs amateur threat. Hes been doing some serious damage on the national BMX circuit. His ability to jump the biggest jumps on any track has given him a reputation for being both fast and fearless. He finished 1999 ranked 7th in the nation. |

He spends endless hours lifting weights, doing sprints, and jumping at the trails. Nathan always has to be training because cant stand sitting still. The only time hes contained is at school, where hes a straight A student. He says that school comes easy, but he has to work hard at BMX. His hard work is paying off. Expect to see Nathan sporting his 1-800-COLLECT colors in the pro ranks someday.
